Fabric filters are devices for air pollution control which help to clear air or gases of particulate matter by trapping the particulate matter on the fabric and the clean air goes through the fabric. This technique of air pollution control is referred to as reverse air because the dirt is removed by blowing the cleaning air in the reverse direction forcing the housebags to collapse momentarily, and this forces the collected dirt to crack and fall off from the surface of the housebag. Stopping the filtration process in the compartment to be cleaned is necessary and the discontinuation of the reverse air flow is done after the completion of the cleaning process to restore the normal filtration system. The shakers type of housebags allow for the removal if the collected dirt by shaking and for this cleaning mechanism to occur the filtration process is first stopped. Pulse jet housebags cleaned by action of compressed air which is supplied by duration pulses.
