Cowboy Boots: A brief history.
The cowboys that herded cattle after the long and deadly American civil war realized in their time that they needed some new boots that were different from the normal boots in their current time and that they needed something better than the normal design. Boots that were made before whether be it war, carriage or field-style boots have not proven fruitful for the cowboys that were herding cattle because the durability of these boots were hammered during their use of it on the time that they were navigating different kinds of vegetation and terrain. Around the year of 1870 a lone cowboy had the idea of taking his war boots to a shoemaker and had asked the shoemaker to add some great changes to the boots that he had such as a pointy toe so that he would be able to slip his foot into a stirrup quicker than before. The cowboy also wanted a taller shaft to be added on the boots so that his legs would be protected from harm and also a bigger, under-slung heal so that he would be able to keep his heel in a stirrup when riding hard on a trail. The shoemaker made something with the ideas that he was given with and he came up with a great design of a knee-high design in which was smart because it would be able to protect the wearer from anything dangerous outside such as dangerous animals and other vegetation that can prove harmful to the user.
Cowboy boots were originally made just for the sake that it would protect the persons legs during work and nothing more. Cowboy boots were never intended for the word “Style” and it was just for working purposes only. Cowboy boots were just viewed by the people and the wearer himself/herself as something as an improvement over a vital tool, in which was designed to keep the cowboys safe and comfortable during the long hard dry summers that they were about to experience and also the rain which was also irritating for them.
Over time though cowboy boots became something more than just for working and thus it became something more of a fashion statement to the customary black or brown stitching that was embroiled on the outside are now being replaced by more colorful stitching. As more designs are being thought of on the cowboy boots and the design makers are unleashing their creative minds to create something more beautiful with cowboy boots. As decades passed by more and more persons are discovering the wonderful fashion design of cowboy boots and thus attracting the attention of the international community as it becomes something amazing to wear.
